AUTHORIZATION TO REPAIR
I hereby authorize Hail Hound Repair, LLC to complete the necessary repairs to my vehicle upon receiving approval from my insurance carrier. I agree to provide Hail Hound with a copy of the approved estimate as soon as it becomes available and I authorize my insurance to provide Hail Hound with a copy of the initial estimate. A Service Advisor will provide me with an oral/written evaluation. I understand that payment in full will be due upon release of the vehicle, including any supplemental charges.
DIRECTION TO PAY
If an insurance carrier is paying for all or part of my repair order, I authorize payment to Hail Hound Repair, LLC, or its affiliated companies. If a deductible is required, I will be responsible for payment. Furthermore, I authorize any and all supplemental repair order amounts to be paid to Hail Hound. I also acknowledge that if there is a lien holder or other payees, I will make arrangements to endorse the insurance check draft prior to the release of my vehicle.
LIMITED POWER OF ATTORNEY
For insurance claims, I hereby appoint Hail Hound Repair, LLC and its authorized employees to be my attorney-in-fact with the limited authority to sign my name on any check or draft covering repairs to my vehicle and to take such action as may be necessary to negotiate any such check or draft.
COMPLETION OF REPAIR
The length of time to complete your vehicle's repair may exceed customary time due to (i) parts availability, (ii) material shortages, and/or (iii) labor shortages. Due to these issues, the length of time to complete the repair may exceed the insurance company approved time. If new parts are listed in my insurance company's repair estimate and either (a) such parts are not timely available or (b) Hail Hound is able to fix the damaged parts through paintless dent removal, conventional repair, or a combination thereof, I authorize Hail Hound to repair such damaged parts or, alternatively, utilize new, used, or aftermarket replacement parts at its sole discretion. Old parts will be kept, thrown away, or recycled by Hail Hound unless otherwise instructed. I authorize Hail Hound to manufacture access to dents that may not be accessible due to their location on the vehicle.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES & MANNER OF COMMUNICATIONS
This authorization is subject to consent for electronic transactions and disclosures. An electronic signature has the same legal force as a manual signature. I authorize Hail Hound Repair, LLC to communicate with me via email, SMS, MMS, or other phone-based messaging (including auto-dialing or pre-recorded voice). Message and data rates may apply. I may opt out of these communications at any time.
REMOVAL OF PERSONAL ARTICLES AND LIABILITY
I acknowledge that I have removed or will remove all personal and valuable articles from my vehicle. Hail Hound Repair, LLC is not responsible for any belongings left in the vehicle. Hail Hound Repair, LLC disclaims responsibility for fire, theft, accident, or any other cause beyond their control. I agree to maintain full vehicle insurance (body, property damage, collision, fire, theft, and comprehensive coverage) for the duration of the repair. In case of loss, recovery will be sought from my personal insurance policy.
TOTAL LOSS or NON-REPAIR
If my vehicle is deemed a total loss, Hail Hound Repair, LLC will receive a $450 administration fee and a $150 per day vehicle storage fee as a precondition for releasing the vehicle. These fees are separate from the insured amount and are paid by the insurance as part of the total loss assessment. I will receive the full Actual Cash Value (ACV) minus my deductible upon vehicle release. Hail Hound incurs costs from the moment they take possession of the vehicle. If I elect to stop repairs and withdraw the vehicle, I will be liable for any incurred costs, which must be paid before vehicle release.
TRANSFER OF VEHICLE (OPTIONAL)
I authorize Hail Hound Repair, LLC to periodically transfer my vehicle to other locations for specialized work. I authorize Hail Hound to transport my vehicle and perform authorized repair work at another subcontracted repair facility.
AUTHORIZATION TO ACCESS VEHICLE DATA
I acknowledge that modern vehicles are complex and contain electronic data. I authorize Hail Hound Repair, LLC to access this data for diagnosing repairs and confirming system functionality after repairs.
AUTHORIZATION TO DISASSEMBLE
I authorize Hail Hound Repair, LLC to disassemble my vehicle for diagnosis and estimate preparation. If I choose not to complete repairs, I may be charged for disassembly, reassembly, and/or partially completed work based on Hail Hound's normal hourly labor rate.
ADVANCED DRIVER ASSIST SYSTEMS (ADAS)
If my vehicle is equipped with ADAS (e.g., blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, distance cruise control), part of the repair process may include calibration of these systems. Calibrating ADAS to original equipment manufacturer specifications for certain years, makes, and models may require proper weight distribution, including a full fuel tank.
RENTAL COVERAGE
Hail Hound Repair, LLC will cover rental costs for customers without rental coverage or overages for those with coverage for every Hail Damage claim, unless otherwise stated. I am solely responsible for any additional fees charged by the rental provider that I opted into or was penalized for (e.g., tolls, fuel charges, damage waiver, personal accident insurance, supplemental liability protection, roadside assistance protection, smoking fees, pet fees, cleaning fees). Under no circumstances will Hail Hound be responsible for paying rental fees for a collision claim, including overages if the repair takes longer than the covered time.
NOTICE PURSUANT TO SECTION 70.001, TEXAS PROPERTY CODE
I am the person, or agent, obligated to pay for the vehicle repairs. The vehicle is subject to repossession under Section 9.609, Texas Business & Commerce Code, if a written order of payment for repairs is stopped, dishonored due to insufficient funds, no funds, or because the drawer's/maker's account is closed.
